When it comes to the world of advertising, results and return on investment are often key indicators of success, and while we agree with this, no working relationship can be successful without proper onboarding. But this doesn’t just apply to marketing. Whether you’re a business consultancy, digital strategy agency, or even a wealth management firm, your onboarding process is incredibly important. Done well, onboarding marks the beginning of a productive and profitable partnership. However, if done poorly, onboarding can be the beginning of a painful and tumultuous journey.
Knowing how important onboarding is to client relationships and success, let’s take a look at what the onboarding process at BuzzShift looks like and how we set your brand up for success.
Step 1: Discovery / Audit
At BuzzShift, every working relationship starts with a discovery and audit. During this initial conversation, our team will ask detailed questions to gain a thorough understanding of your current initiatives, long-term objectives, competitors, and existing digital ecosystem. After the discovery process, we will have a better understanding if your brand needs to begin with a brand strategy, brand identity or if your brand is established enough to begin with a growth strategy.
Step 2: Strategy
Once we have a solid understanding of your brand and have established benchmarks and baselines based on industry and historical data, it’s time to focus our efforts on developing an actionable strategy for your brand. With this data-informed approach, we provide recommendations, including, but not limited to, content, creative, and paid media that align with your brand’s benchmark goals and define what channels and methods we will use to connect with your target audience. The strategy is presented in a comprehensive growth strategy deck that’s presented to the client and covers all recommended services and tactics to drive brand success. Every brand that comes through BuzzShift will have a growth strategy developed for them before we start ongoing services. The robustness of the growth strategy is determined by your goals and budget.
Step 3: Onboarding
Using the Growth Strategy as the blueprint of how we will work together, we begin to tackle the recommended builders and drivers. Builders are what we can do to help establish your brand’s foundation for long-term success, and the drivers are what we can do to help grow your brand in the next 30-60-90 days. Once we have signed off on our strategy, we will move onto ongoing services.
Step 4: Ongoing Services
Once onboarding is complete, we move into ongoing services. This is where the execution begins. Based on our recommendations in the growth strategy, we will begin executing on the approved tactics to help increase awareness, drive conversions, and foster sustainable brand growth. All of our services come with the support of a dedicated team and point of contact, along with weekly or bi-weekly calls to discuss progress, success, and key initiatives.
